The HEA Idea

The Health Education Alliance (HEA) teaches people what they need to know to stay healthy.

Derived from the core concepts of the Humboldt Diabetes Project, HEA was formed to provide the community with quality patient education. As the Humboldt Diabetes Project does, HEA works in partnership with health care providers.

HEA teaches patients how to self-manage their diabetes and other nutrition related chronic diseases and disease prevention.

Our services are offered in Eureka through the support of Humboldt-Del Norte Independent Practice Association.

HEA has been Recognized by the American Diabetes Association for Quality Self-Management Education.*
